Day 76
Los Angeles MEPS and APFT today. I’m scared for the color vision portion of the medical.
Being an officer is not a game; it’s not an extension of your fraternity...

Day 61 o.o
After a bit of discussion with my recruiter about technicalities on my SF86 (Questionnaire for National Security Clearance), I finally took the ASVAB. It was quite an arduous journey, it involved us having to wait for five other people taking the test, a trip up to Los Angeles MEPS, and a couple of clerical errors at MEPS.
Stepping into MEPS, I knew that the military was strict and this was no...

Day 1
“Today is the first day of the rest of your life.”
It’s been a long nine months out of college. Every day, I’ve contemplated what my next life step would be. I’ve thought about joining the green-collars, or to get a part-time job for short-term support while I try to become a full-timer.
Sometimes, I think my legs don’t work. When I run, I feel like I have to...
Unemployed? More like underemployed, am I right?
4/20.
That actually means 4 of 20. New watch alert.

I was walking down the street with my cousins on my dad’s side, to some place. I think we were just traveling to go somewhere. All of a sudden, Sid Mashburn comes strolling along next to me (trying to get past the big group walking in front of me — my cousins) and he comments on how the group is walking so slow, and he has to get back to the restaurant. I say, “Hey wait,...

I just discovered something that practically just changed my life.
Now, I can’t sleep.
Honestly, sometimes I feel like crap. I have this shiny Master’s degree, but it seems like every job I apply to, I’m either overqualified or under-qualified. I swear, sometimes I feel like I’m so close to finding a job, then all of a sudden, the carpet comes out from under me and I’m on the floor, figuring out how to get back up again.
Maybe it really is this economy. But...
The funniest part of jury duty on Tuesday occurred after lunchtime. I was in the “Juror Reading Room” (the quiet room in the back) and decided to go out because it was too quiet. I took a seat next to the television, where Divorce Court was on. The husband was pretty much racist, she said that he was pretty much walking around like he owned the place, because he had lighter skin that...
I think I’ve lost the art of writing. I think it’s when I joined Tumblr; it makes it easy to just reblog other things and not come up with original content yourself. I was thinking that maybe in the future, I could be a professional blogger, or maybe I could even make my own blog and get it all popular and stuff. So I think I’m going to try to make a habit of reblogging less and...
Today I had a foray into the world of the sartorialists; a conversation with some dapper folk to help me get squared away for the 6th of August. I feel like I learned so much from them, that I need to step up my game a lot more.

In about two weeks, I’m going to hate Texas.
I just had this dream where me and Kitty went on a road trip with my family and some friends. We ended up near Disney World and right when you get into Disney World, you are forced onto a combination of Autopia and their equivalent of the “California Screamin’” roller coaster. So we pay for parking, and then we start driving on the Autopia track. Kitty is with me and my friend in...
